Privacy Policy

The short version

MakeMyCalc does not collect your calculator inputs. All calculations run entirely in your browser. There is no server-side processing of the numbers you enter, and we have no way to see them.

What data we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Numbers, dates, or values you type into any calculator
• Calculation results
• Personal health data (e.g., height, weight for the BMI calculator)
• Financial data (e.g., loan amounts, interest rates)

This data exists only in your browser's memory while you use the tool. When you close the tab, it's gone.

Local storage

MakeMyCalc uses your browser's localStorage for two purposes:

• Exchange rate cache — the Currency Converter caches the day's published exchange rates locally for one hour so it doesn't need to fetch them on every page load. This data is public exchange rates, not your personal information. /currency-converter
• Cookie consent — remembering whether you accepted or rejected cookies.

You can clear localStorage at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party API: frankfurter.dev

The Currency Converter fetches published reference rates from frankfurter.dev, a free public exchange-rate API backed by European Central Bank reference rates. When you use the Currency Converter, your browser makes a direct request to their servers. This request includes your IP address and standard HTTP headers (as with any web request), but does not include any calculator inputs or personal data from MakeMyCalc.

We have no control over how frankfurter.dev handles their server logs. Refer to their own documentation for details.

Advertising and analytics

MakeMyCalc uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to record anonymous page views and performance metrics. These are cookieless, do not use fingerprinting, and cannot identify individual visitors — they run regardless of your cookie choice. Separately, MakeMyCalc may use Google AdSense for advertising and Google Analytics for more detailed usage analytics; those services load only if you accept cookies through the consent banner. If you reject cookies, the Google services are not loaded.

When loaded, Google AdSense and Google Analytics may set cookies and collect data according to Google's Privacy Policy. This data collection is separate from MakeMyCalc's calculator functionality and does not include your calculator inputs. policies.google.com/privacy

Children's privacy

MakeMyCalc does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The site is a set of calculators — no accounts, no forms, no data submission beyond the exchange-rate API call described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. We won't reduce your privacy protections without making it clear.
